Messaging Options

Messaging Options control how messages are composed, encoded, and sent.

Name Field Mode

This setting affects merge tags used in campaigns and templates.

Options

Encoding & MMS Settings

Encoding behavior

  2. Displays character and segment counts while typing

  3. Prevents unexpected message splitting

Media handling

  1. Validates file types before sending

  2. Enforces attachment limits

  3. Displays inline previews in the Inbox

These settings help control message cost and delivery behavior.

Saving Changes

After updating any settings:

  1. Click Save Settings

  2. Changes take effect immediately

  3. No page reload is required for most settings

Best Practices

  1. Always test Twilio credentials after updates
